No records. No budget. No venue.

When Maina took over the fellowship’s leadership in 2019, there was no standard system for remittances, no operational budget, no filing, and meetings were held under trees.

It would have been easy to lead it the same way it had always been led. Instead, he treated a volunteer ministry with the seriousness of a bank.

Rules that outlived the man who wrote them

Every remittance banked. Cash stopped moving hand to hand; every contribution went into parish and regional council accounts.

Two signatures on every withdrawal. Chairman and Treasurer, together, or the money did not move.

Allowances only for those present. Facilitation followed attendance: recorded, not assumed.

A fixed calendar, kept. Third Sunday, every month, rotating across churches, for years.

Ward funds fail the same way ministry funds fail: quietly, without records, between people too polite to ask.
